Fun with Organic Waste - Let's Make Compost!

Do you frequently find yourself with leftover waste such as fruit peels, vegetable cuttings, and scraps? Let's make better use of these waste without adding to the trash by making them into a compost! Come and learn the fundamentals of composting with our experts!

Cost: $20

Materials required:
1) Kitchen scraps (raw vegetable and fruit scraps only, no cooked food)
2) Dried organic material (unbleached paper, dried leaves, straw, etc)
3) A pair of scissors
3) 2 containers of similar size (e.g. CNY containers, pails - please reuse or upcycle)

Chun Yeow is an aspiring urban farmer who grows edible produce along the corridor and on a rooftop community garden. To save on buying fertilizer and provide good nutrition for his edible plants, he uses organic waste from the kitchen and materials collected from the neighbourhood to make into yummy compost.
